USPA NEWS - Due to the "tensions between Russia and Ukraine", U.S President Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin will speak to each other this Tuesday via videoconference, the specter of a serious diplomatic crisis looms in the Ukrainian case. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy by phone from Washington, D.C.  Secretary Blinken reiterated the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity in the face of Russian aggression, ahead of President Biden’s discussion with President Putin. The two agreed on the need for a peaceful, diplomatic resolution to the conflict in the Donbas and the full restoration of Ukrainian sovereignty over its internationally recognized borders, including Crimea. Russia being accused of preparing an attack on its neighbor, President Macron & the four other heads of state and government also "expressed their commitment to act to maintain peace and security in Europe", added the French presidency to the outcome of a phone call between the five leaders. U.S.A, ITALY, & UK EXPRESSED THEIR DETERMINATION THAT UKRAINE’S SOVEREIGNTY---------------------------------------- Due to the "tensions between Russia and Ukraine", the leaders of Germany, the United States, France, Italy and the United Kingdom have "expressed their determination that sovereignty" Ukraine "be respected", according to the Elysee (French Presidency) in a statement Monday.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On the French side, President Emmanuel Macron and the four other heads of state and government also "expressed their commitment to act to maintain peace and security in Europe". According to the Elysee, they all recalled the need for Russia is re-engaging in negotiations with Ukraine, within the framework of the so-called “Normandy Format” group, under the aegis of France and Germany in mediation with Russia and Ukraine.
